B2B Ordering Portal
Let your B2B customers order from NetSuite themselves
The B2B Ordering Portal is a branded, logged-in experience for your NetSuite customers and their contacts. Buyers see the catalog assigned to their account with their NetSuite price level, place orders that land as NetSuite sales orders, track status and tracking numbers, pay open invoices and reorder from history.
- Who it's for
- Distributors, manufacturers and wholesalers on NetSuite whose customer service team keys in orders that arrive by email and phone.
- The problem it removes
- Buyers expect to see their prices, stock and order status without calling. Standalone ecommerce means a second catalog, another customer record and pricing that drifts from NetSuite.
One supported workflow
A repeat buyer places an order
Every step below is a screen or action that ships today. Where a step depends on configuration, the requirements section says so.
- 1
Sign in
A contact at the customer signs in with email and password or your SSO provider. They land on a dashboard with open orders, open invoices and quick actions.
- 2
Browse their catalog
Products, categories and attribute filters come from the catalog assigned to their subsidiary and account. Exclusive items and catalog restrictions hide what they should not see. Stock shows per location.
- 3
Build the order
Add lines from the catalog, scan, or import a CSV. Prices follow the customer's NetSuite price level and quantity breaks; promotions and coupon codes apply automatically when configured.
- 4
Choose shipping and submit
Pick a ship-to address, shipping method or store pickup, and submit. The order is created in NetSuite as a sales order (or quote) and can sit in Pending Approval if your hold rules require it.
- 5
Track and pay
The buyer watches status change as you fulfil, follows the carrier tracking link, and pays open invoices by card through Paystand or Accept Blue, including partial payments.
- 6
Reorder
Any past order can be reordered at current pricing. Drafts can be saved and finished later. Returns can be requested from order history.

Good to know
Limits we would rather you hear from us than discover later.
- Catalog and pricing data are cached; price changes in NetSuite appear after the cache refreshes (typically within hours) or a hard refresh.
- Order approval uses NetSuite's approval status and hold rules — there is no separate approval inbox in the portal.
- Quantity breaks are applied on the order, not shown as a price table in the catalog grid.
- A parent company's contacts see that company's orders; multi-level parent/sub-customer roll-ups are not a standard view.
- Custom domains for the portal are not a documented option; branding covers logo, colours and theme.
Questions we get asked
Does the portal replace SuiteCommerce?
For logged-in B2B ordering, yes, many customers use it that way. A public catalog with guest checkout is also available through the public workflow.
Where does pricing come from?
From NetSuite item pricing: the customer's price level, quantity-break pricing, discount items and NetSuite promotions. Nothing is maintained in a second place.
Can a buyer have several people ordering?
Yes. Each contact on the NetSuite customer can be given their own login and role.
How do buyers pay?
Open invoices can be paid in full or partially by card through Paystand or Accept Blue, with card-on-file where the processor supports it. Terms customers can order on account.
