Partner Portal
Give partners a view of the customers they bring you
The Partner Portal is a default workflow for NetSuite partner records. A partner signs in, picks one of the customers linked to them, and sees that customer's transactions, open invoices and support cases, plus reports and their own account profile.
- Who it's for
- Companies on NetSuite that sell through resellers, referral partners or agents and track them as NetSuite partner records.
- The problem it removes
- Partners ask account managers for order status and invoice copies for the customers they introduced, because they have no NetSuite access of their own.
One supported workflow
A reseller checks on a customer order
Every step below is a screen or action that ships today. Where a step depends on configuration, the requirements section says so.
- 1
Sign in as a partner
The partner's login is tied to their NetSuite partner record. Their dashboard summarises activity across all linked customers.
- 2
Pick the customer
My Customers lists the NetSuite customers linked to the partner. Selecting one sets the active customer for the session.
- 3
Review transactions
Transactions shows orders, invoices and payments for that customer with status, and opens the full transaction view.
- 4
Raise a case if needed
The partner opens a NetSuite support case on behalf of the customer, attaches documents and follows replies.
What it does
- Linked customers
- Customers linked to the partner in NetSuite appear under My Customers, with a switcher to change the active customer.
- Transactions and invoices
- All transactions across the partner's customers; open invoices per customer; full transaction detail.
- Support cases
- Create and follow NetSuite support cases for a linked customer.
- Reports and dashboard
- Stat cards, charts and report widgets fed by saved searches or SuiteQL, scoped to the partner.
- Account profile and help pages
- Profile management plus static pages you control (contact us, return policy, FAQs).

Good to know
Limits we would rather you hear from us than discover later.
- The default partner workflow is read-only on orders: ordering on behalf of a customer is configured as a sales-rep style workflow, not included by default.
- Paying a customer's invoice from the partner portal is not part of the default workflow.
- Deal registration, pipeline and commission tracking are not product features.
Questions we get asked
Can a partner place orders for their customers?
Order placement is available as a configured module — the same Place Order screen used by sales reps — and can be added to a partner workflow during setup. The default partner workflow is view-only.
